Selva Verde Lodge and Rainforest Reserve is happy to welcome Andrea and Antonella Ferrari, publishers of Anima Mundi-Adventures in Wildlife Photography, to the lodge. They will be staying with us during the entire month of April, working on the next edition of their online magazine. Selva Verde will be featured in the next issue, and I can’t wait to see it! They have just released their photographs from the trip and they are VERY impressive

I was at the lodge in April and had the opportunity to meet Andrea and Antonella personally; such an energetic, enthusiastic and friendly couple – can’t wait to see the pictures, they showed me some of their work from other areas, their excitement and love for nature was contagious. I was also able to catch a glimpse of an early morning session with a rather large horned beetle; one of the many amazing creatures I was fortunate to encounter during my stay at Selva Verde Lodge. What an amazing place! During my short visit I was able to see howler monkeys, a sloth, a variety of jewel-colored frogs, birds of every shape and size – even parrots! For some reason the the beautiful bioluminescent click beetle really left an impression on me, one never knows what to expect in the rainforest; next time around I’m planning on at least 3 nights, what a gem!

Just a brief post to thank all those involved – especially El Big Boss Graziano Marengo and our eagle-eyed guide Alejandro Esquivel – in making our recent four-week stay at Selva Verde Nature Reserve & Lodge such a wonderful success!
