Birding Adventures TV (BATV) is the first birding TV program that focuses on destination and adventure bird-watching. It explores the exotic birding destinations on the planet; the most unusual, rare and highly sought after bird species; amazing cultures and wildlife. BATV portrays a unique blend of information and adventure, making bird-watching refreshing, contemporary, interesting and exciting.
Andrea Holbrook, of the family that owns and operates Selva Verde Lodge, had this to say about the filming:
“We were so excited to have BATV film in Sarapiqui and Selva Verde Lodge. I love to see the story of the Green Macaw told since it is such a beautiful and endangered bird that has come to mean a lot to the people of Sarapiquí. Also, I was excited for us to be a part of this new movement of birding as a sport or adventure activity. That’s important so that a younger audience can be enticed to watch birds. And I was very proud to be joined by the community members such as Aventuras de Sarapiquí in sponsoring the show. Collaborating with the Costa Rica Bird Route and naturalist and conservationist Alexander Ramirez was also rewarding.”

What a treat to see this video. Our family stayed at Selva Verde in January 2007. This brought back so many wonderful memories of our time there.
